EBIS is honored to serve as media partner for the 2nd Thought Leadership Forum, hosted by The African Storyteller on Saturday at the Royal Villas under the theme “The Role of Women in Growing Southern African Economies.”

On this Women’s Month we reflect on the pearls of wisdom she shared in a wide-ranging address on the importance of healthy families, strong communities, and a resilient economy.
Inkhosikati challenged legislators to follow the example set by His Majesty King Mswati III and the Indlovukazi in creating an environment where women can thrive and become the best versions of themselves. She urged those in attendance to be deliberate about supporting women-owned businesses, ensuring women’s full participation in driving the nation’s economy forward.
She also spoke candidly about the scourge of gender-based violence, calling on the nation to lift in prayer every family affected especially those who have lost loved ones and asking that homes be restored as safe havens, where the most vulnerable are protected rather than preyed upon by those meant to care for them.
The Minister for Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, and Business Eswatini’s E. Nathie Dlamini, reaffirmed government and private sector commitments to advancing women’s economic participation through legislation and policy, respectively. They noted that the World Bank’s estimated $42 billion financing gap for women owned businesses in Africa is not a discouragement but a call to action one they intend to answer.
Other speakers, including seasoned entrepreneur Sylvia Mthethwa and Dr. Dumi Mgadlela, shared powerful personal stories of building from nothing, while Gender-Lens investor and development finance expert Dr. Lelemba Phiri offered practical steps for investing in women. Panel discussions explored how to navigate a competitive business landscape, build strong brands, and turn passion into legacy even beyond conventional careers.
The Women left the room inspired and we expect the ripple effects of this gathering to be felt across the Kingdom and the entire region!
