Zanele has broken many barriers in both the electronic and print media, by asserting herself as a passionate, caring, hardworking and confident professional. Affectively known as “Zuzu” she is currently the News Editor of the Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services

Amongst other role, as a News Editor Zuzu is tasked with the planning of the daily news coverage, production reviewing and editing of articles and stories, over-seeing the production of news and current affairs programs and all other news production.

Zuzu’s career in the national broadcaster started in 2004, where she joined the English Channel as Radio Presenter hosting the Friday afternoon drive, weekend gig guide and house music sessions on weekends. In 2010, she joined the station newsroom as a journalist and news anchor as well as presenting news and current affairs program and covering local and international news assignment.

Using her voice to bring attention to social issues that are close to her heart, Zuzu is passionate about current affairs, education, health issues; particularly those impacting young girls and women, as well a mental health and issues of socio-economic development.

Her wish for the broadcaster is to see it grow and make a positive impact in telling the stories of Eswatini to the world, helping communities make informed decisions about their lives. She believes in being bold and authentic, and not shy to embrace the continuous changes of the world
