Manzini, Eswatini – A major milestone in Eswatini’s commercial development has been reached, with construction firm Stefanutti Stocks officially appointed as the contractor for the country’s largest shopping mall, set to be built at the historic old Trade Fair site in Manzini.
The announcement was made today by the Minister for Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, during a press briefing.
“This development marks a turning point in Eswatini’s retail and infrastructure landscape,” said the Minister. “Once complete, this mall will not only enhance shopping convenience but also create hundreds of jobs and stimulate local economic growth.”
The new mall is expected to feature a wide range of retail stores, restaurants, entertainment areas, and modern amenities — positioning Manzini as a regional commercial hub.
Stefanutti Stocks, known for its extensive portfolio of large-scale projects across Southern Africa, was chosen following a competitive tendering process.
Construction is expected to commence soon, with timelines and project details to be announced in the coming weeks.
The project underscores the government’s commitment to attracting investment, modernizing infrastructure, and boosting the country’s economy through strategic partnerships with the private sector.
