His Majesty King Mswati III has expressed strong confidence that landlocked developing countries (LLDCs) can overcome their developmental challenges through strategic partnerships, innovation, and policy coherence.

Speaking at the opening of the United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenistan, the King emphasized the need for collaborative efforts and smart policymaking to ensure that LLDCs are not left behind in global progress.

“Through partnerships, innovation and coherent policies, we can transform our status as landlocked countries into stories of sustainable development and opportunity,” said His Majesty.

The conference brings together heads of state, policymakers, and development experts to discuss critical issues affecting LLDCs, including infrastructure, trade access, and economic resilience.

Eswatini, being one of the landlocked countries in Africa, continues to engage in global platforms that seek to shape a more inclusive development path for such nations.
