Mlulami Dlamini of Mtsambama can now breathe a sigh of relief after receiving a newly upgraded double-storey house from Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla.

Dlamini had been living in a stick-and-mud double-storey structure that posed serious safety concerns, especially during adverse weather conditions. The deteriorating state of the house left him constantly worried about the risk of it collapsing.

During the handover ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister officially presented the upgraded home, reaffirming government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of vulnerable citizens across the country.

The new structure provides Dlamini and his family with a safer and more secure place to live, marking a significant improvement from the previous dwelling.

Community members who witnessed the handover expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the intervention will greatly improve the family’s quality of life.
