Consumers will have to dig slightly deeper into their pockets as the price of bread is set to increase by 60 cents, effective 1 October 2026.
The adjustment will see consumers paying an additional 60 cents on the current price of bread when the new pricing takes effect at the beginning of October.
The increase comes at a time when households continue to manage rising living costs, with bread remaining one of the most commonly purchased staple food items.
Consumers are therefore advised to take note of the new prices when purchasing bread from retailers from 1 October.
