The Deputy Prime Minister, Thulisile Dladla, has officially launched the Eswatini Blindfold Dinner Campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and promoting a deeper understanding of visual impairment and the lived experiences of people with visual disabilities.
The campaign seeks to encourage empathy and inclusivity by giving participants an opportunity to gain insight into some of the challenges faced by persons with visual impairments in their daily lives.
The Eswatini Blindfold Dinner is scheduled to take place on 20 November 2026, bringing attention to the importance of creating a society that recognises the abilities, dignity and rights of persons with visual impairments.
The initiative is expected to contribute towards ongoing efforts to promote awareness, challenge misconceptions and encourage greater inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society.
