Eswatini today commemorated White Cane Day 2026 at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Offices, with Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs Jane Mkhonta-Simelane representing the Deputy Prime Minister.
The commemoration highlighted the need to remove barriers that hinder persons with visual impairments, while promoting independence, safe mobility and inclusion in society.
The event also served as a reminder of the importance of creating an accessible environment that enables persons with visual impairments to move freely, participate fully in community life and enjoy equal opportunities.
