Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg has officially opened the five-day Eswatini In-Country Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Standards Training Course at the Central Bank of Eswatini.

The training, which runs from 14 to 18 September 2026, is hosted by the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group (ESAAMLG).

The programme is aimed at strengthening Eswatini’s understanding and implementation of FATF standards while enhancing the country’s capacity to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes.

The training also forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Eswatini’s financial integrity and ensure greater compliance with international anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing standards.
