The 2026 Umhlanga ceremony has officially drawn to a close, with Imbali receiving gifts from Their Majesties before departing Mbangweni Royal Residence and returning to their respective homes.
The presentation of the gifts marked the final moments of this year’s festivities, following days of cultural activities that brought together thousands of maidens in celebration of Eswatini’s heritage, unity and traditions.
After participating in the various stages of the ceremony, Imbali left the royal residence carrying with them memories of another successful edition of one of the country’s most treasured cultural events.
The departure brought the curtain down on Umhlanga 2026 as the maidens began their journeys back to their communities across the country.
