Eswatini recorded a merchandise trade surplus of E194 million in August, as the value of goods exported during the month exceeded the country’s imports.
The positive trade balance indicates that Eswatini earned more from merchandise exports than it spent on imported goods during the reporting period.
The latest figures provide an indication of the country’s external trade performance, with exports continuing to play an important role in generating revenue and supporting economic activity.
