The MTN Premier League has officially been launched, setting the stage for another exciting season of top-flight football in Eswatini, with E7.5 million at stake.

The launch took place at MTN Headquarters in Ezulwini, bringing together representatives from MTN and the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) ahead of the start of the new season.

During the event, both organisations called on football administrators, clubs and supporters to promote peace and sportsmanship and to help eliminate violence from football matches.

Attention now turns to the pitch, with the first matches of the season scheduled for this weekend. Mbabane Highlanders AM will face Green Mamba, while Moneni Pirates will take on Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The opening fixtures are expected to set the tone for what promises to be an action-packed MTN Premier League season.
